Engraving ceramic signs

We engrave our ceramic signs exclusively with modern laser engraving machines. This has the advantage that we can use exquisite computer fonts and the engravings are applied to the sign with razor-sharp precision. We optimally adapt the text to be engraved to the size of the sign, so that the sign together with the engraving creates a harmonious image. Optionally, we can engrave in practically any font. For this, you would need to send us the corresponding TTF font via email.

How are ceramic signs made?

We source our ceramic signs from German ceramic manufacturers. All signs are 100% handmade. For this, clay is pressed by hand into a mold, so that it is completely filled without air pockets. After the clay has dried for a few days, the raw sign can be removed from the mold. Now it is painted by hand with special glaze colors and then fired in the oven at approx. 1100° - 1200° degrees Celsius. During this process, the clay hardens into ceramic and the applied glaze fuses with the surface.

Are the ceramic signs weather-resistant?

Yes, absolutely, after the ceramic signs come out of the kiln and cool down, they are 100% weather-resistant. Even the most adverse and extreme weather conditions can no longer harm the signs. A ceramic sign practically lasts a lifetime. The glaze colors also retain their luminosity forever.

Ceramic signs for single and two-family homes

Ceramic signs are generally larger than conventional door signs made of brass or stainless steel. And therefore particularly well suited for the entrance area of single-family homes. Not only can you read the name from a distance on larger ceramic signs, but they are also particularly impressive and representative. Practically, in the truest sense of the word, the "showpiece" of the house.
